Our Work
AALOS is committed to increasing the representation of Latino physicians in orthopaedics. We provide mentorship, scholarships, and community outreach to high school, pre-med, and medical students who aspire to careers in orthopaedic surgery. Our goal is to cultivate future Latino leaders in the field.

Additionally, AALOS addresses the unique musculoskeletal health needs of the Latino community. Through research, collaboration, and culturally competent care, we strive to improve health outcomes and equity for this population.

Annual Meeting
Each year, AALOS hosts an annual meeting and luncheon during the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Annual Meeting. These events focus on the musculoskeletal health of the Latino community and include the presentation of an award recognizing outstanding contributions to the profession.
